Boutique Booklets

The boutique booklet project is an effort to preserve the film writing contained in booklets released in DVD/Bluray/4KUHD releases. When those releases go out of print, that writing becomes inaccessible and is very rarely made available. This project is an effort to preserve that writing and make it available to readers.

Film writing is important. It has academic and archival value. Years later the writing in these booklets may be used by historians, film critics, anthropologists, or others in way we cannot predict today. But the wealth of information and data in these articles is very inaccessible.Additionally, we believe this writing should be enjoyed and the writers should be celebrated. Hopefully this website will enhance readers' enjoyment and understand of film and allow authors to connect with readers or have a location to include in a writing portfolio.

In general, it was either in the collection of a site admin or generously shared by a reader.

None, in fact we probably spend a lot more on this than we should.
